From My Kitchen to Yours: Meet Nourish Culinary
If you’ve ever looked at one of my recipes and thought, “That looks delicious—but could someone just make it for me?” I have great news for you.
You can now book my personal chef services in the DMV through Nourish Culinary.
Here at Plant Based Ginger, I share recipes, ideas, and inspiration to help you fall in love with vegetables. Through my work with Nourish Culinary, I also get to bring that approach into clients’ kitchens—making everyday meals more delicious and taking some of the work of feeding a household off their plates.
And there’s more to Nourish Culinary than weekly dinners. Here’s a little introduction to the team and the different ways we can help you eat, gather, and cook.
What Is Nourish Culinary?
Nourish Culinary serves individuals, families, and businesses throughout the greater Washington, DC area with personal chef services, catering, and cooking experiences.
The common thread is food made for the people enjoying it. That might mean meals tailored to a family’s preferences, a menu for a celebration, or a cooking lesson that helps someone feel more comfortable in the kitchen.
It’s a personal approach to something we all do every day: eat.
Personal Chef Services for Real Life
Figuring out what to eat can take up a surprising amount of your week. Before you’ve even turned on the stove, there’s the planning, the grocery list, the shopping, and the question of whether everyone will actually eat what you’re making.
Having a personal chef means getting help with that whole process.
Through Nourish Culinary, I work with clients on menus that fit their tastes, dietary needs, and routines. I handle the planning, shopping, cooking, and cleanup, leaving prepared meals packaged and in the fridge, ready to enjoy throughout the week.
For some households, the biggest benefit is getting time back. For others, it’s having more variety, support with dietary preferences, or a welcome break from takeout. Sometimes, it’s simply knowing dinner is already handled.
You don’t need to be hosting a party or celebrating a milestone. A busy Tuesday is a perfectly good reason to appreciate a fridge full of food.
A Plant-Based Chef, with Room for Your Household
Vegetables will always be at the heart of what I do. I’ve been plant-based for nearly 25 years, and I love finding ways to make plant-forward food comforting, satisfying, and something people genuinely look forward to eating.
But I also know that households don’t always eat alike.
Maybe you’re vegetarian and your partner isn’t. Maybe you want to eat more plants, but your kids are skeptical. Maybe you love trying new things while someone else at the table prefers the familiar.
Those are conversations we can have when planning your menus. My goal is to understand the people I’m cooking for and make meals that work for your actual household.
There’s room for enthusiasm about vegetables and an honest conversation about what everyone likes.
Beyond Weekly Meals: Catering and Private Events
Nourish Culinary also offers catering and private event services, with menus customized for the occasion.
Whether you’re bringing friends together, celebrating with family, or planning a work gathering, food should be part of what you enjoy about hosting. Having a culinary team involved gives you more room to spend time with the people you invited.
If you’re interested in having me cook for your gathering, reach out through Nourish and mention that you’d like to work with Chef Sarah. The team can discuss your plans, availability, and the right service for your event.
Cooking Classes, Private Lessons, and Workshops
Sometimes you want someone to make dinner. Sometimes you want to learn how to make it yourself.
Nourish offers private lessons, group workshops, and public cooking classes. Private experiences can focus on building kitchen confidence, practicing techniques, exploring a cuisine, or simply spending a fun evening cooking with other people.
For my part, I love helping people discover what vegetables can do—with approachable techniques and ideas they’ll want to use again at home. You don’t need to arrive knowing your way around every kitchen tool. Curiosity is a great place to start.
